Green Flag
Keith used to be Creative Director of Revolution – but, as with so many things, they don’t exist any more. When he was there he led the team that revised and refreshed the Green Flag identity. Not only did it include the usual graphic outputs, it also include rebranding the vehicles.
The colourways had to be consistent across all media – so we worked with automobile paint suppliers to create a ‘match’ to printed materials and vinyl ink specialists to create luminous inks. Interestingly, the dark squares reflect rather than the light ones. Rears of vehicles had to conform to roadside conspicuity and we worked with the police to write new standards.
Timing was ridiculously short for this. We found a respraying outfit in Grays in Essex – and another up the country – that could spray, bake and re-decal six trucks at once overnight in booths designed to take articulated lorries. The project still took over two months to do the basic fleet.
