Heathrow Airport pictograms
It was once mooted that an airport shouldn’t have any more than 140 pictograms.
But with pandemics, crisis events like ash clouds and 9/11 – and the ever increasing use of technology – we beg to differ.
Since 1995 the original set of pictograms has been refined and expanded to cater for increased security measures, greater assistance services, multi-faith prayer rooms and additional services like in-terminal yoga and spa facilities.
We now have over 300 pictograms in the portfolio and there seems no sign of letting up!
